Phototherapy & Biographical Work with Photographs

I support people through photography and biographical work—in palliative care, nursing facilities, hospices, and in private settings.

We look at personal photographs, reminisce, share stories, create, and take pictures. What emerges from this process depends on the individual, their capabilities, and their current life situation.

Looking at Photographs and Evoking Memories
Family photos, pictures of dearest people, travels, places, and life stages—from albums, boxes, or cell phones.

Creating
Life story books, memory books, collages, photo cubes, or personal photo albums.

Taking Photos
Taking your own pictures, capturing self-portraits or family portraits, or documenting subjects that are important to you right now.

Preserving Memories
Together, we can create something that brings personal memories to life and can also become a lasting memory for loved ones.

Dignity and Life Story
An important influence on my work is Dignity Therapy, as developed by Harvey Max Chochinov. It focuses on the individual, their life story, important relationships, and what they wish to pass on. I combine this approach with my work with photographs.

Who Is It For?
For people receiving palliative care, those in long-term care facilities and hospices, older adults, and people with dementia, as well as for individuals who wish to explore their life stories in a private setting. Family members can be included.

A session typically lasts 90 minutes and can be a one-time session or take place on a regular basis. For institutions, the service is arranged on an individual basis.
